I previously blogged about Vodacom launching a credit card sometime this year, and they have delivered, just in time for that Christmas spending spree everyone goes on.
There are tons of benefits for anyone that has one of these cards, but these rewards are mostly geared towards business people that travel around South Africa frequently. Most of the benefits of the Vodacom Credit Card come in the form of air travel, accommodation and car rental.
Vodacom Credit Card Benefits
- Travel – Get 25% off when flying with Mango Airlines.
- Accommodation – Get 20% cash back when staying at any Southern Sun hotel.
- Car Rental – 20% off Imperial car rental
- Leisure – There is discount on Planet Fitness contracts, discount on buying Playstation’s as well as all Vodacom golfing offers (Vodacom World of Golf, Vodacom Golf Villages and PlaymoregolfSA)
- Security – Discount on Chubb security systems as well as Tracker vehicle recovery system
- Education – Get a free laptop with 3G when signing up for UNISA Graduate School of Business courses
Along with all these benefits there are also Cash Backs for when you shop at any of the Vodacom partner stores, aswell as Yebo Bucks which can be earned for using your Vodacom credit card that can be redeemed at any Vodacom store as well as Game and Dion.
There are also electronic products that can be purchased from Vodacom at reduced prices – Plasma TV’s, digital and video camera’s.
How much does the Vodacom Credit Card cost?
The card does not have any annual fees, but you have to pay a R29 per month membership fee to enjoy all the benefits it has to offer. You also have to be a Vodacom contract subscriber in order to qualify.
There is a definite target market for this credit card and it definitely won’t be for everyone. So if some of these benefits will save you more than R29 per month, so why not sign up?
Please be so kind as to forward me an application form for the credit card. ben@billington.co.za
