Sick and tired of the standard light blue, silver or olive green theme that comes standard with Windows XP? I am, and have been for the last 4 years! Since the launch of XP in 2001, There has been a couple of themes that Microsoft have developed and released.
Royal Theme
XP Media Centre Edition, also known as Royal theme, is a theme that was developed for the XP Media Centre edition, which comes packaged with 2 desktop wallpapers taken from the green hills of New Zealand.

Zune Theme
With the release of the Zune, an MP3 player that is set to rival the iPod’s dominance on the MP3 market, Microsoft also released a Zune looking theme for XP, that can be downloaded from the Zune.net website. It is a shiny black and orange theme, that really isn’t far off what the default Vista theme looks like, minus the transparency.

The desktop wallpaper for the Zune theme, doesn’t really do the theme justice, so head on over to Veer and download yourself some sleek looking wallpapers that might tickle your fancy a little bit more than people waving their hands in the air.
