Internet Explorer 7 has finally been released

Internet Explorer 7For what seems like an eternity, Microsoft have finally released Internet Explorer 7. The whole reason Firefox came into existance, was the poor excuse of a browser IE6 was.

IE7 has fixed the tons of display bugs, that made people have to employ CSS hacks in order to get their sites to display correctly, as well as IE7 now supports web standards much better. It also now offers support for transparent PNG’s!

Whats new in Internet Exporer 7

  • New look, cleaner interface, alot less clutter. I think the new interface looks even better than firefox!
  • RSS Feeds! IE7 now supports RSS out of the box. Just click the RSS icon, and you are instantly subscribed. You can then view your RSS feeds with the built in RSS reader.
  • Tabbed browsing. This is going to change the way tons of those newbie MS people browse the web.
  • Search – They have added a search box, just like in Firefox, that allows you to search straight from the browser. No need to go to Google.com to start searching.

I am extremely pleased about IE7. Even though I might not use Internet Explorer, at least it will make the lives of web designers easier. That old saying of “design in Firefox, hack for IE” has finally been put to rest.

Read the IE7 blog for more info on the release, or go ahead and download IE7 today.
