Vodacom set to release credit card

Vodacom will begin offering their prepaid and contract subscribers a credit card service. This is probably perfect timing, since number portability is just around the corner, and this might just give subscribers one more reason to either stay or switch to Vodacom.

Almost every company these days are offering Credit Cards, with Virgin the latest to bring out their line of credit cards. I wonder if Vodacom will be able to match Virgin’s debit interest rate of 5% and their no annual fee subscription?

Benefits for Vodacom credit card holders include rewards in the areas of travel, leisure, safety and security, education, as well as Vodacom services and products, Joosub says. Users will also be eligible for discounts at major retailers.
