As you’ve probably heard from here, or here, or even here, Bill Gates is stepping down from his day-to-day role as chief software architect and is going to spend more time on his global health and education work at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
The reason for this post is not because of this news, but because of this gem I came across. If you’ve never read Joel Spolsky’s blog, Joel on Software, you don’t know what you missing. I’m guessing because of the news of Bill’s departure, Joel has decided shares a story on when he was product manager of Microsoft Excel back in 1991 and about the big BillG interview. It’s a awesome article.
