Still in the design phase, this USB drive. called the FlashBag, has a micropump that inflates and deflates depending on the amount of data that it holds. The only practical application I can think of is if you are forever copying large files to and from your flashdrive, and hate getting the “disk out of space” error, this could help you.
Realistically, having the drive inflate while its plugged into your PC alongside another USB device, could damage your USB connections, so I really see this type of drive taking off. More likely an LCD display with the free disk space displayed, should work better.
Although, I would love to have a cool gadget like this. It’s all about the image dude. =)
