Thats right folks, the latest version of MXit has just been released – MXit version 5.7
There are a massive 23 changes to this version! A number of the changes seem to be around logging in and connectivity. So you no longer have to close MXit to retry logging in when the server is busy, incorect pin, or not registered. The logging in process is also quicker.
But for all you MXit freaks, what bugs you the most? probably DC’s (disconnects)? Well with MXit 5.7, when you are disconnected, a manual reconnection will occur in the background! No more closing MXit to reconnect!
This is the official list of 23 changes in MXit v5.7
- You can now zoom into images
- If disconnected, manual reconnection will occur in the background
- New MXit skinz and emoticons
- Menus open automatically when clicking on a service such as Tradepost
- Access to emoticons and mark-up when using inline edit
- The application now automatically resizes to your phone’s screen size
- Improved volume control indicator – slider bar is no longer the same colour as the phone’s background theme
- Any unread or unsent messages are saved when logging out so you can read/resend them when logging back in
- You can now choose the colour of your message text, go to Menu – Settings – Appearance
- Added support for QWERTY keyboards (Mostly Symbian phones)
- Tab chatting now supports touch screen input (touch screen enabled phones)
- Failed logins (incorrect pin, server busy, not registered) can be retried without exiting the application
- When restarting the application after a failed GPRS connection, MXit will auto logon without prompting for your cell and pin number
- Faster logging in
- Improved speed when changing profile settings
- Pop-up message notifying you that old messages will be cleared to allow space for new messages when your chat screen is too full.
- Pop-up message when the phone’s memory is low
- Pop-up message confirming you want to clear chat messages
- Message font size changes immediately when selecting between small, medium and large
- Clear messages and voice recorder options now available on the group menu
- When sending a file to a contact, you can now save a copy to your gallery

why does mxit keep saying install error on my phone? i have a samsung sgh e250 and using mxit v5.1….. plzzzzz someone help me?

if you have you’ll have to use the password you used then… delete it and download it again, i had the same problem…

Hey , I got the newest mxit , yet it STILL gives problems , some of my conntacts show OFFLINE when they are on and when I want to leave them a msg it says ,” msg could not be delivered’ wtf ?
