As we all know here in South Africa, bandwidth isn’t very cheap, and sometimes we suspect some of our ISP’s of lying to us when they cut our internet access on our ADSL because we have exceeded our monthly allowed bandwidth.
Monitoring your bandwidth
AnalogX Netstat Live is a Windows based app that can run in your system tray and monitors your internet bandwidth. It also can monitor your CPU usage which can help distinuish if its your internet connection or your PC that slowing things down.
Check out the SimpleHelp site for a great tutorial on getting started with Netstat Live. One thing I did find is that it does not run on Vista.
