With a number of delays, bugs, incompatible hardware and software causing a lot of headaches for people, it doesn’t seem to have slowed down sales of Microsoft’s latest OS, Windows Vista. In 100 days since the launch, Microsoft has sold close to 40 million Vista licenses with 78% of those sales attributed to the Premium edition.
Along with these record sales, they also managed to increase their net income by 65-percent – year on year.
With Windows Server 2008 set for release in the 2nd half of 2007, expect Microsoft to have a record year in terms of profits, sales, bugs and whatever else they do.
