Acer have released a new line of laptops named the Gemstone series. These are some really sweet looking machines! Some of the features of the new line include the new glossy display with CrystalBrite technology, Dolby Home Theater Virtual surround sound technology as well as some of the Aspire models will be equipped with Intel® Robson technology. (Robson is the codename for the new Intel technology which will use Flash memory to increase system responsiveness). As always, everyone promises increased power savings, but in essence that normally comes to no more than an extra couple of minutes of battery power.

The Aspire 9920 is the top of the range Acer to be launched with the Gemstone design.
Aspire 9920:
The Aspire 9920 has been designed for consumers that want the ultimate in entertainment. It features a stunning 20” wide display managed by the NVidia GeForce 8600M-GT graphics card with 512MB of dedicated VRAM and up to 2304MB TurboCache. Being a highly versatile system, the Aspire 9920 also offers digital terrestrial television through the integrated digital (DVB-T) TV Tuner, excellent storage capabilities with up to two large hard disks, and cutting-edge Video and Voice over IP communication thanks to the built-in Acer CrystalEye camera and the optional Acer VoIP phone. Immerse yourself into a high-definition audiovisual experience with the stunning quality of the HD-DVD drive in combination with the Dolby Home Theatre Virtual Surround sound.

As you can see above, white is definitely the way to go ever since Apple started making white macbooks. I’ve always been an Acer fan (especially those Acer Ferrari laptops) and I’d love to get my hands on one of these babies!
